Politics are human interactions, which we either love to play or hate to think about.
When people make collective decisions, that’s politics.
The word politics is used most often when we speak of governments. However, politics are in society wherever groups interact — for-profit corporations, non-profit agencies, educational institutions, religious sanctuaries, fraternal organizations, local clubs, etc.
In fact, politics are social relationships revolving around the acquisition and use of authority, what we might call political power. The study of politics is about how political power is obtained and the methods and tactics used by politicians to formulate and apply policy.
